Judith McGinn discovered her love of stories at a very young age, as she was the progeny of southern storytellers. Her fiction was first printed in Cork, Ireland, where she won first place in prose in The Cork Literary Review Writing Contest. Her short stories appeared twice in The South Carolina Review. She won first prize in prose for The Vinnie Ream Short Story Contest sponsored by the National League of American Pen Women. Her stories have been shortlisted in The Fish Short Story Contest, and long listed in William Faulkner/Wisdom Short Story Contest. Her poetry and prose have appeared in many anthologies such as Lun’Allure, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the original moon landing, and Earth Care, a collection about the global warming crisis (Willett Press in 2022).
