Heidi Nightengale

Publisher & Editor

Heidi has been writing and publishing in local, regional and national literary magazines for over 25 years.  Her chapbook, Bird Vision, was published by Pudding House Press in 2008.  Heidi has won numerous awards for her writing and her volunteer civic and community work.  Heidi is currently on the faculty of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Empire State College where she teaches courses in writing, reading and writing poetry along with courses in human services.  In 2014, Heidi published her first children’s picture book, What Fragrance is the Moon?  She has been a writer in the schools for her work as a poet and children’s writer in three states and over 80 preschool, elementary, middle and high school classrooms.  She has also conducted local poetry workshops for the public at Cayuga Community College and the Finger Lakes Arts Council.  She has been a featured reader of  her poetry in libraries,  bookstores and coffee house settings throughout Central New York for over 15 years.  When Heidi is not writing or teaching, she spends her time gardening and coaxing faeries to her cottage gardens.

Laura Williams French

Publisher & Director of Publishing Operations

Laura has a B.A. & M.A. in Literature from SUNY Empire State College and twenty years experience in graphic arts, printing, and small business management.  Laura is a graphic designer whose projects have included regional promotions and not-for-profit fundraisers, sports team logos, corporate design and graphic illustrations.  An avid reader since childhood, Laura boasts a diverse personal library of hundreds of books.  Laura published her first book of poetry, The Weight of a Box, in 2018 about the life and loss of her sister from a drug overdose.  She will be releasing her book of humorous short stories Wigs, Cars, and Sectional Sofas: Surviving Childhood in the 70's in the near future.   When not working, Laura enjoys spending time in her garden, redecorating her house, beating her husband at Scrabble, or enjoying the company of family, friends, and fur-babies (especially her rescue kitty, Penelope).

Brianna Walsh

Director of Marketing and Social Media

Brianna has a B.S. from SUNY Empire State College in Business Management where her focus was in public relations and arts management.  Brianna has held marketing and promotions positions ranging from a notable theatrical house in Syracuse to promoting local bands.  Brianna has had a deep and abiding interest in the arts since an early age.  She is active in both the literary and music community and recently relocated to Nashville, Tennesee.
