Born and educated in the South, Elizabeth Patton has lived in New York since 1966. In addition to teaching English, she
has taught history, Latin, and music in several states. In 1984 she left an English position at Skaneateles High School in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, where she developed a senior elective
in creative writing. Her writing has appeared in professional journals, literary magazines, anthologies, and newspapers. Her 2009 chapbook, Late Harvest, was published by Pudding
House Press of Ohio, and her 2014 book of poems, Autumn Notes, was published by DownTown Books of New York. Her collected poems Seasons of the Mind was published by Clare
Songbirds in 2017. Sadly, Elizabeth passed away in 2021, her collection of short stories, Feeling For Eggs, is being published posthumously.
