The Cayuga Museum, in partnership with Olive Trees and aaduna, is starting a new season of a program dedicated to writers and writing. Word, revisited is a bimonthly, community program exploring original writing in all its diverse, intriguing, provocative, and exciting forms.

Admission is $3/person, Doors open at 5:30 PM (open mic sharers are encouraged to sign-in early for an available slot.)

Featuring Matt Duggan

 

Matt Duggan is a U.K based poet who lives in Bristol with his partner his poems have appeared in many journals in the U.K and U.S. such as Ink, Sweat, and Tears, The Journal, Harbinger Asylum, Laldy - West of Scotland's Literary Journal, Osiris Poetry Journal, Orson's Review, Into the Void, A Restricted View from the Hedge, Algebra of Owls, The Dawntreader, Lakeview International Literary Journal. Matt won the prestigious Erbacce Prize for Poetry in 2015 with his first full collection Dystopia 38.10 ( erbacce-press ) and also won the Into the Void Poetry Prize in 2016 with his poem Elegy for Magdalene, in 2017 his poem Black Swan of Barashevo was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and in 2018 Matt was highly commended and runner up in the Road to Clevedon Pier Anthology Competition with his poem Walking with Coleridge in Clevedon. Matt has two new chapbooks out this year with One Million Tiny Cuts ( Clare Songbirds Publishing House ) A New York based publisher and A Season in Another World ( Thirty West Publishing House ) a Philadelphia based publishing house which is due out in April 2018. Matt will be doing his first U.S readings in April 2018 in Boston, plus two readings in New York, followed by his first U.S. book launch in Philadelphia in early May 2018.
